disaster recovery
KKI's Quick Restore disaster recovery solution gives you complete peace of mind about your ability to recover from an interruption in access to your data. Whether it's from a failed hardware component or a natural disaster, Quick Restore gives you the ability to quickly bring your systems back online and resume business.
How it works:
Quick Restore utilizes cutting-edge backup software that performs a complete virtual backup of your ENTIRE system. This virtual backup file not only captures your data files (like most popular backup software packages), it also capture the entire operating system, all programs and all settings a complete copy of your running system. The virtual backup file is then stored and periodically verified by KKI specialists.
In the event of a disaster (such a RAID controller failure, motherboard failure, or a natural disaster), KKI will use you latest virtual backup file to start the Quick Restore process. A fully functional “Virtual Machine” is created from your virtual backup. This virtual machine is then copied onto any computer with sufficient hard drive, RAM, and processing capacity (oftentimes this can be a standard desktop). Once the virtual machine is copied to the new computer, the “host”, a software program is installed on the host that starts and runs the virtual machine. This new virtual machine is an exact copy of your failed system. Since all software and settings are preserved there will be no discernable difference to end-users accessing the system.
